These MVP Business Development Series courses are designed to help today’s Collision Centre Managers gain a competitive advantage in their respective marketplace by teaching them to stratgetically think about their business strategy and understand key performance indicators while developing a new business plan.
Qualifying refinish technicians is an integral part of PPG. Technicians with at least one year of experience meet the requirements for certification by successfully completing a training course specifically tailored to the product systems covered by these programs. Courses are conveniently offered at PPG Business Development Centres and various field locations across North America.
These training sessions include a minimum of eight hours of classroom and hands-on training. Certified Technicians can renew and/or maintain their certifications by completing additional product training every two years.
Quick Changeover is a critical component of Lean Manufacturing and is a foundation for gaining critical capacity to meet customer demand and grow operations. This seminar will focus on applying quick changeover techniques and principles to the refinish area within collision repair, more specifically, to optimize booth cycles for any shop faced with the need to gain capacity and throughput when being held back by the current cycle time of their booths.
Envirobase High Performance Waterborn Certification (2 day).
As a core program of PPG Certification training, this program trains refinish technicians in personal safety, paint chemical and waterborne fundamanetals, and repair procedures using PPG’s Envirobase High Performance Waterborne Basecoat Refinish System.
This two day program is designed for the collision center technician who currently uses PPG products in their refinish operations. This course covers the theory of color and its practical application in matching and tinting EHP refinish waterborne colors. The Envirobase High Performance waterborn color system and its associated color tools are described in depth. Hands-on exercises are designed to provide product and color tool exposure to the technician.
